At the end of May Marina Weight Loss, Marina Hospital’s weight loss program started publishing statistical infographics on subjects related to obesity. This infographic is the second one and aims to offer a clear picture about the subject.

Infographic Details

The infographic called Economic Costs Related to Obesity was recently published on Marina Weight Loss’ website. The first thing the infographic shows is a total of obesity related costs, then  this number is divided into two sections direct and indirect costs.  The graphic also gives a brief definition of these as well.

Further the graphic shows the costs of obesity by insurance status and then divided to direct and indirect costs shows related health care costs referring to several obesity related medical conditions:  heart diseases, type two diabetes, osteoarthritis, hypertension, breast cancer, endometrial cancer and colon cancer.
